A Night Out

So a day purposely off the sleepy medication so I could leave the house for the last night of our visit with Kirk's daughter Miranda...and dear old/new friends from Winnipeg, Rick and Krista...it was so worth every single moment

Whither This Blog?

If you are new to this site - and may not know me - I am 49 (Good Lord, can that be true?) and live in Victoria. I worked for 17 years primarily in health-related communications and before that about 10 years as a radio reporter. I started this as an outlet to share stories with my friends and family - but some of my current struggles have taken it in a new direction. Still it is a mix of occasionally funny musings, political observations and some more personal stories - in other words, it is not my intention to share only my health woes! And some may wonder, who is Shae Alosius Montgomery Greenfield (who I will mention quite frequently)? He is a treasured friend and former colleague who abandoned me for Toronto - my notes to him started on Facebook and it wouldn't be right to stop now! To all who read this, thank you for the gift of your time and attention.

Addendum: What this summary fails to tell you is that I am in end-stage renal failure after a 32 year battle with eating disorders. And as I write this update I must apologize that right now my health "woes" take up much of the space. An error of omission that stood correcting.
